I recently drove across country, stopping at various attractions along the way. I’ve always been fascinated by watching people photograph each other in front of stuff, and decided to take my own pictures of people photographing each other in front of stuff.

My Grandparents live in West Palm Beach, Florida and I visit them there usually two or three times a year. I find it a fascinating place to take pictures. The area is very unusual. It’s a waspy jet-set destination, a Jewish retirement mecca, and an urban wasteland depending on what block you’re on.

Jackson is my first friend to have a baby.

This was the first warm weekend day of the year. I went to prospect park to see how people were reacting to the pleasant temperature and the new greenery.

I was asked by my friend Jesse and his dad, Uke Jackson, to photograph their annual ukulele festival, New York Ukefest 2008. Ukefest is “a four-day extravaganza of concerts, workshops, seminars and world-renowned ukulele vendors.”

Pictures of my family from our Christmas gathering in Center Moriches on Long Island.

This year my family spent Christmas at my uncle and aunt’s house in Center Moriches on Long Island. The house isn’t big enough for everyone to fit so my siblings and I rented an RV to park in the drive way. Christmas being on a monday, we decided to make a weekend of it and […]

In November of 2007 I visited Japan with my friends Lisa and Sarah. I love Japan because everywhere you look there’s something completely fascinating and unexpected. We spent a week in Tokyo and Kyoto and then took an overnight train to Hokkaido, the northern most of Japan’s four main islands, where we spent another week.

Just Like the dogs, the cats get to have their day at Madison Square garden too. Unlike the dogs however, who get to show on the main floor of the arena, the cats are relegated to a slice of one of those really wide circular corridors you walk through when you’re trying to find your seats. The spatial constraints, however, have no effect on the enthusiasm of the owners or the spectators.

Southern Florida is hot as balls in July, but my sister and I went down to west palm anyway to visit my grandfather while he was in the hospital (He’s better and at home now). Boomer retiree condo construction update: super-turbo mode.

There was a brief period when the New York Times had mostly moved into it’s new building, but the old building was still open. A friend of mine who works for the Times took me on a tour of the now mostly vacant building. It was pretty interesting to see what had been left behind […]

These are pictures I took on my second visit to Los Angeles, the visit where I started to become a little obsessed with the place. I stayed and hung out mostly on the east side of town this time, which was much more my speed. I guess what I like about LA is that it’s […]

The construction that began over the summer seems to be going full force now. Apparently it’s condos for the soon to be retiring baby-boomers.
