My Grandparents live in West Palm Beach, Florida and I visit them there usually two or three times a year. I find it a fascinating place to take pictures. The area is very unusual. It’s a waspy jet-set destination, a Jewish retirement mecca, and an urban wasteland all at once.

On this visit, I decided to make portraits that focus on the relationships West Palm residents have with their little dogs.
